gspl:2528 – our attempt to rewrite the Gospel(s) for Warilla: a suburb of Shellharbour City on the Illawarra coast of NSW, south of Sydney. It is our hope that this project turns into some sort of performance (whatever that might turn out to be!) that will resonate with the people of postcode 2528 (which includes the suburbs of Warilla, Warilla North, Lake South, Mt Warrigal, Barrack Heights, Barrack Point and Windang).

Using Mark, Matthew, Luke and John as our starting point we will attempt to fashion something that speaks to the population of postcode 2528, in spoken word, poetry, art and music. Its a big project and this will keep you up to date as we attempt to bring it all together.

A bit about who is behind this: I am Rob and I am ably assisted by Rossco (he of the South Avocado) as well as Brian. We are tied together with the Warilla North and Shellharbour City Baptist churches here in the wonderful Shellharbour City – and in the 2528 postcode area, more specifically. There will be other names added as we enlist more people to the task at hand and try and get our heads around what it is that we are attempting to do.
